What happened to the strength of the individual?
That power within us that makes us stand up and fight instead of cower when our lives are under threat. It seems in short supply these days, and I fear that it will only dissipate quicker with time. Things were easier when we were children, before self-doubt and insecurities tore apart our confidence and took from us our sanity, or at least our clarity. We live lives we know are unhealthy and destructive yet we avoid any real change within ourselves. We blame the world for where we are, it's everyone else's reluctance to change that makes it pointless and worthless for you to try right? Wrong; do you really expect anything to change when you stay locked into your own rigid mindset? Because if so your wasting your time and fooling everyone around you. Stop living based off your animal instincts, and realize we are aware, conscious beings!! You can not blame others and make excuses for anything you do our say because regardless of what you think, you were aware of it. You had the choice, the chance, to change that thought, those words, or that action instead of letting your subconscious reign over you. I'd almost envy an ego death because isn't that the next progression of human evolution? Eliminating the negative thoughts, the unconscious animal mind that controls our jealousy, hatred, lust, greed, etc. All leftover traits of a dying species, just look around you. If you believe the world is thriving your misguided and living in a false reality.
The own Earth is fighting against the destructive qualities of human beings. Look at the record number of tropical storms, earthquakes, and other natural disasters occurring these days. I'm not preaching a dogmatic view of some future judgement on Earth that will take all sinners to their Hell. Nothing as simple as that could happen, when will we realize heaven is merely a mindset. It's nirvana, its Tao, its inner peace and outer reality. These great religious leaders Buddha, Jesus, Mohammad, Moses, they all had very similar doctrines at heart. But we as humans took there teachings, distorted them, turned their words of how to live enlightened and twisted them into false ideologies. Now they're merely an extension of our misguided view that empower our false self. A way to separate each other by letting us identify ourselves as right and others as wrong over a topic we can never truly know the answer until we're dead. But I ask of you not to take this as some agnostic rambling against humanity but rather as a small step in the blueprint of enlightening yourself. I'm noting the problems I see within ourselves and explaining how it manifests externally throughout our world due to our inabilities to handle, deal with, or even notice the problems. Open your eyes and look at the beauty in the world, the flowers, streams, rivers, birds, canyons, mountains, etc. and just think that maybe the world isn't the problem. Maybe, just maybe, we're our own worst enemies.
